Could We Just Have More Time in a Day?

There is always so much to do, to get, to clean, to read, etc. I feel like I am running around like crazy most days and it is not often that I feel accomplished. I get up at the crack of dawn, get dressed, drive an hour to work, and start working. All the while I am thinking about all the other things that I need to do. Of course, they do pay me to be there and to work, so even though I can get some things done like making phone calls or paying bills during the day, I do have to be productive there.

When I leave work, it is very rare for me to be able to just drive home without having to make a stop somewhere, i.e., the grocery store, post office, and of course…..the gym.

Yeah, I have been working on losing weight and getting in a shape other than round. I joined a gym to help. Don’t get me wrong, the gym is a great place. The classes are fun and the instructors are great. It is just hard to fit that extra time in the day. They (and you know who you are) say that going to the gym should become routine. So far, it has not. I am glad when I go, but I don’t want to go, if that makes any sense.

If I had more time in my day, would I get to sleep more? Read more? Sew more? Somehow I doubt it. I am sure that I would find other ways to fill my time. I would need to clean the house, weed the garden, mow the grass or do laundry. More time does not necessarily equal more rest; in fact, it could mean quite the opposite.
